We are currently seeking a Marine Superintendent for our Halifax head office. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Marine Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the operation in accordance with regulations, policies, and standing collective agreements, provide functional support to internal operational personnel resources and act as a liaison to our industry partners, and take on other business-related tasks as deemed necessary.

The right person for this role is a charismatic leader with a proven technical marine knowledge and have proven relationship building and leadership skills. This individual must be self-motivated team player capable of functioning in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful incumbent must possess a strong understanding of marine regulatory requirements and hold a proven track record of experience operational marine project management.

We are currently seeking experienced mariners to establish our Marine Pilot Eligibility List in the compulsory district of Saint John, NB.


  • Must provide proof of Canadian Citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residence Status;
  • Provide valid copy of Transport Canada Certificate of Competency (Minimum: Master, Near Coastal);
  • Provide valid copy of Transport Canada ROC-MC or GOC;
  • Provide valid copy of Transport Canada Seafarers medical;
  • Must provide copies of proof for qualifying sea time. See qualifying sea time as per APA Regulations – Section 14 Experience at Sea
  • Must provide two written references of which one preferably should be from a superintendent/supervisor.

Participation in Familiarization Program in lieu of local sea time is available to qualifying candidates.

  • Examen médical des navigants
  • Doit fournir des copies de la preuve pour la qualification de temps en mer. Remplir les exigences relatives aux états de service en mer admissibles conformément à l’article 14 – Expérience en mer du Règlement de l’APA ;
  • Fournir deux lettres de recommandation, dont une idéalement de la part d’un surintendant ou d’un superviseur.

La participation au programme de familiarisation au lieu du temps de mer local est disponible pour les candidats qualifiés.
