CASUAL DISPATCHER

The Atlantic Pilotage Authority was established in 1972 pursuant to the Pilotage Act. The mandate of the Atlantic Pilotage Authority is to establish, operate, maintain and administer, in the interest of safety, an efficient Pilotage service within the designated waters of the Atlantic region. We are currently seeking a Casual Dispatcher to join our team in Halifax, NS.

The ideal candidate should possess related Dispatch experience as well as familiarization with the Maritime Marine Industry. Familiarity with the geography and weather patterns of Atlantic Canada is also a requirement. The successful candidates will have above average computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Windows programs.

Candidates must be willing to work shift work, and be available on short notice and during emergency needs. The candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to perform well in a team as well as individually. The successful candidate enjoys working under pressure and has the ability to multi-task.
